I purchased my Cl500, in may of 2006 and have had nothing but problems. I guess what upsets me the most was the way I was treated when purchasing the vehicle and how that A+ treatment has declined after numerous trips to the dealership. After just having my vehicle for three days I woke up to find my CL500 actually on the ground. I was told my ABC had a leak and there was a recall, and they will fix no problem. They has since attempted to fix my vehicle 8 times with no improvement to the ABC system. While sitting at a traffic light the system finally exploded. A black liquid leaked from the under carriage of my car. I had to be towed home. Upon car review from my MB dealership I was told my car is now out of warrenty and i would have to pay 1,500.00 for the car to be fixed properly and that they can't guarentee that it wont happen again. I will never purchased a MB again. I would expect more from purchasing a certified MB from a top MB dealership.

I hired a practicaly new CLC500 Mercedes with just over 1500 kms for 1 day and after dropping it off I was told it was leaking gas. 2 days later I received a form requesting information from the leasing company on how the accident happened: There was no accident and luckly I have my co-driver as a witness. I can only assume that there is a technical defect. Knowing that this could have been a serious problem dashing down the Autobahn and loosing gas I am relieved that nothing serious happened. Anyone els out there had a similiar problem ?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

Thanks

Vincent

I am confused, a certified MB comes with a warranty and a 2006 should still be covered.

was it for sure the ABC. I had a similiar with the ABC, it was " fixed" . Now I have a leak right rear side. Im told it is a shock problem, that has exploded, it is $2300.00 for part and installation. Sounds to suspicious to me.

Hi Sue,

I am not sure what the problem was since I HIRED the car for a day. I have not heard from the car rental for the last two months. So, I assume they have dropped their suspicion that I did something to the car. Amazing to think to think that such a car at a price of approx 120 thousand euros should have problems. I drove Mercedes for 25 years and was always very satisfied. Now I drive a an Audi A4- a beautiful car. I was going to buy another Mercedes but the sales service in Germany is totaly incompetent and awful. No wonder their sales have plunged to the bottom. Thank you for your tips. I hope that your car problem be fixed at Mercedes´s expense. GOOD LUCK and thanks again. Vincent
