I have a 2010 E350 with the bluetooth telephone for my BB Bold. The reception and connection is HORRIBLE!! MB has been of NO ASSISTANCE in solving this problem. I have lost my patience. I paid too much for a system that does not [and never did] work!

Any ideas besides using my bluetooth earpiece?

Same thing happened when I took delivery of my S550 4MATIC. One of the dealership's "Product Specialists", who acted very importantly, told me he did not know much about the Bluetooth system and told me I had to read the manual.

I became "assertive" and told him that I wanted to take delivery of the car with everything working. Had to apply brute verbal force, but it helped: he promised me to learn about it, which he did and after a few days I could go back to teh dealership and he got it working. It has worked well ever since. Still, poor service when you pay $ 115,000 for a luxury car.

Just bought a new Lincoln MK X for my wife and a new GMC Terrain for one of my sons. In both cases, the dealership's sales rep delivered the car, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and had the SYNC system (for the Lincoln) and the GM system up and running in minutes. What do we learn from all this: it is not worth to spend $ 100,000 on a "luxury car" which is not good (I suffered terribly from technical problems with my S class), while much cheaper cars have the same or better features, which are delivered very well and keep on working flawlessly.

My issue is definitely related to the MB Bluetooth System. When using my Bluetooth earpiece in the car, no dropped calls and clear reception. When using the MB Bluetooth System, calls are dropped often. I generally no longer even attempt to utilize the MB Bluetooth System.
