Sadly, MBZ's well-deserved reputation for spotty quality has completely destroyed resale values even for low-mileage MBZ cars. In particular, the Active Body Control suspension on higher-end Benzes is a wallet chewing monster due to frequent and major hydraulics issues. I dont' even mention the electrical issues a lot of Benzes of the same vintage are notorious for.
Anyway, I did a quick spot-check in my area and sadly, $22,000 sounds about right for a car that retailed for well over 100k just eight years ago.
Holy crap I just bought cl 600 what else have you had go wrong. I had car checked out by a None dealer merc mech he went top to bottom on this car it has 76,000 miles on it he said usaully the problems with these type cars are solved by perivous owners when they are new, the mech guy told me most of the time you have problems taking these cars to dealers and they say they done full services and they don't fuel filters unchanged same spark plugs left in stuff like that so be careful who you take your car to I don't trust dealerships plus cost are usually 2 times higher

I really need some input on these cars....are they just prone to problems? I have 48,000 miles on my 2002 cl600 and have been offered $22,000 for it.....what do you think?
