My CLS 500 stopped in calf length water and was recovered to the local MB agency within 20 min. To my surprise The agency charged almost 3000$ for damage evaluation which my insurance agreed to pay as teh car was comprehensive insured. To my horror The agency have quoted almost 60,000$ for the parts and repair....My question is
1. How can a MB get so severely damage in such little water
2. How can Engine get seized when the water level was so low.
3. How can repair and parts cost so high.

I doubt MB and its dealer are taking advantage of the fact that the customer has no choice and expert to nullify their claim. I seriously don't know how my insurance is going to react. I hope they approve it and I get back the car. If anyone from MB reading it kindly revert to me at javed@designmd.com
