I'm wanting to find out if anyone has had problems with a car suddenly going forward.  Yesterday, I was pulling slowly into a parking spot and the car jolted forward at rocket-speed and hit a wall.  I remembered that 3 weeks ago when reversing out of a parking spot the same thing happened.  I was able to break, but the speed was unimaginable.   The car has also jolted when trying to accelerate.  I have found one other documented case almost identical to mine.  Also the air bags did not come out nor the satellite work

This is absolutely scary. I have not heard about the sudden acceleration (except about Toyota cars on t.v. lately), but about the airbags not opening I have heard. My sister was hit by a car at the front of her 2005 E class, which was very badly damaged, while the airbags did not open. According to the dealer completely normal and my sister, who is far from a "car guy" believed them. I urged her to have the dealer check the airbag system, but they don't want to do that. I tell you, I would not dare to drive my sister's car.

Mercedes-Benz seems to be very sloppy about safety of the vehicles with their customers. My own example: I own a S550, which had a malfunction of the anti-lock brake system for 6,000 miles (the front wheels would lock whenever testing the brakes, thanks God I did not have to make an emergency stop during that period). The dealership told me three times the brakes were safe, and only after I had a brake specialist of the world's major brake supplier declare my car unsafe to drive MB USA dispatched a technical specialist from Chicago to Detroit to look at it, who told me again everything was fine. However, when I picked up my car, they had replaced the entire front brake system and the dealership staff was prohibited by Mercedes-Benz USA to show me the parts and components, they had taken off.

Mercedes-Benz is a scary company, in my opinion.

I filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and they had a claim almost identical to mine where the woman had 2 incidents and the second was entering a parking spot and the car accelerated forward and hit a tree. The airbags did not go off nor the satellite work. I have forwarded all of my information and pictures of the car in its condition and the area where it is visible that no one would easily be able to accelerate and have that much damage done to the vehicle. I hope that they will not give me much trouble to look into it and identify the problem.
