I have had my GL for 6 months now and it has been undrivable 5 times already. The first 2 times were due to a faulty oilpan (the first was defective and the second time it was not fixed properly) and the last 3 times the car has died completely. There is obviously a major electrical defect with the car, but mercedes just replaces the battery every time and I have to wait for the problem to happen again...

I have a GL 320 Diesel which has died 4 times in the past 5 months. They are trying to blame it on operator error and "Cannot reproduce the issue"! THis after my wife almost had 3 accidents because of it. she refuses to drive it anymore. Has had my kids in the car each time it died and completely stops in the middle of traffic. They have replaced fuel pump 2 times, fuel filters 2 times and now have it in the shop for another week. I am at a loss. They are telling us they do not know what the issue is. something with the fuel pressure rail. I have contacted an attorney and am trying to get them to buy it back. Also have had major issues with Teleaid. any advice.

We have had our GL for 3 months and out of that time MB has had it 40 days. The trouble started the day we drove it off the lot, sound system has never worked right, replaced amplifier 3 times. Check engine light which has to do with fuel system problems. Out of balance tires, back hatch wont open. I refuse to drive this car now and the dealership will not give us any help at all. We have had to file a claim with mercedes asking for a new car due to the lemon law. After reading all of these posts I suppose we may as well just hire an attorney now. This is our 5th car purchased from this dealership.
