Mercedes Benz Owners

Where do I start, my 2004 E320 has never been away from the Mercedes Benz garage since I bought it. I have had so many complaints that it would be impossible to list them thank god there was a warranty . The worst was the engine , I took the car to Ft Pierce at least 9 times for engine noises each time they replaced a minor part until they finally broke down and replaced the whole engine. I have complained on at least 5 occasions that the transmission was not working properly every time I was told that they did a small adjustment and reset the computer it was working perfectly now , the transmission has not worked properly each time I got the car back , my warranty just ran out and now the transmission jambs in gear obviously there has been a fault in the car and they have refused to fix the problem.
I would warn any person considering a Mercedes Benz to buy a BMW, Audi or Lexus stay away from Mercedes
I have owned Mercedes for the last 20 years, we own 2 of them at present and will be trading them in for Lexus or Audi, after 20 years Mercedes are loosing a good customer.

I agree. I bought a 2004 CPO E 320 from MB of Miami. I had to return the car the next day for repairs which took 4 days. That was 2 1/2 years ago and it's been one problem after another. All the dealers here are owned by AutoNation so they don't care. No matter how much I complain they won't do anything. I paid $37,000 for the car and it had 27,000 miles. I went to trade it in two months ago with 58,000 miles and was offered $11,000 for the car. The biggest issue is that as soon as the car was out of the CPO warranty, MB refused to fix the items that they had previously fixed but had failed again. I have owned every imported car made. This was my first MB and it will be, without a doubt, the last. If MB would just stand behind what they made I'd probably buy another car....I've got a 10 year Nissan that has 130,000 miles. It's been the shop 4 times in it's history. My MB has been the shop 3 times in a SINGLE MONTH at least 4 times. So disappointing...

I COMPLETELY AGREE! MB BLOWS.
I have been a very loyal fan of MB and a full believer in its value until tragedy struck recently. I has a half tank of gas per the gauge and was zipping down the freeway at 70 mph or so. The car decelerated suddenly and came to full stop right there in the middle of swerving traffic. Reason: NO GAS! The gauge was still showing half full and there was no warning light!! Towed it to the dealer and they found a faulty sensor which was replaced. Got back and had a strong smell of gasoline. Apparently the connecting PLASTIC tube between saddle tanks was broken - a common problem according to the mechanics. Had that replaced. One month later, same story - strong gasoline vapors. Dealer replaces gas tank because it is leaking!! One week later filled up a full tank and started the car, the gauge showed half full!! I called MB customer service and asked them how unconscionable that they charge a hefty premium for a badly engineered poor quality product on the road. The person on the other end was not sympathetic at all. He said he'd give me a coupon for a free service!!

I have filed a complaint with NHTSA because I think the fuel system is a safety hazard. MEanwhile, to all you E350 owners out there, please know that they have Company Service Bulletin that identifies this as a problem. Have your sensors checked before you get killed on the freeway.

MB has amply demonstrated to me that it is ARROGANT, CONDESCENDING, POMPOUS, and CALLOUS when it comes to quality and customer service. I am selling my BENZ ASAP and will NEVER buy another again.
